Where to spend your day

Smoke + Ash
Edgbaston Village
Our favourite spot in Edgbaston for pizza, and the go-to for dinner and drinks with friends.
Digbeth
Spend a full day in one of Birmingham’s most creative areas (we love a coffee at The Bakehouse and vintage shopping at Red Brick Market).
Ocha
Hurst St.
The best matcha we’ve found in the city, and you definitely need to try the matcha banana bread.
Executive Lounge
Bordesley St.
A games and entertainment venue with bowling, pool, and arcade games, ideal for rainy days or evenings out.
Best of wellness

Be Pilates
Hockley
Our go-to reformer pilates fix close to Jewellery Quarter station.
Botanical Gardens
Edgbaston
A nature walk through the gardens, finished off with a coffee or lunch from the on-site Medicine Bakery - our idea of a perfect afternoon.
Edgbaston Reservoir
One of our favourite spots for a walk or run around the water, especially on warmer days (and very popular with dog walkers).
Run Clubs
Girls Run Brum
An all girls run club based in Selly Oak with weekly meet-ups
Where to spend your night

Luna Springs
Digbeth
Great vibes, live music, and the perfect outdoor drinks spot for the summer (plus one of the best bottomless brunches in the city).
24 Stories
Colmore Row
Birmingham’s highest restaurant and rooftop cocktail bar, with some of the best views in the city.
Isaac's
Barwick Street
Inside The Grand Hotel, this is one of our favourite spots for live jazz music and late-night drinks.
Old Joints Stock
Temple Row
Victorian pub and theatre, set inside a beautiful Grade II listed building and easily one of Birmingham’s best spots for a pint.
How to get around

By bus
Making getting around a breeze - whether you’re hopping between neighbourhoods or heading into the city centre, there’s usually a stop nearby (routes like the 74, 11 and 50 are especially handy).
By train
Birmingham has three main stations covering the city centre:
- Birmingham New Street: the city's main hub, connecting you to the rest of the UK.
- Birmingham Moor Street: ideal for local and regional journeys, especially towards the south and London.
- Birmingham Snow Hill: great for quick access to the Jewellery Quarter and wider West Midlands.
By tram
A simple way to get around the city, with regular services running from the city centre out towards Wolverhampton.
On foot
A lot of Birmingham is walkable, with scenic routes along the canals and past backstreet shops, perfect for exploring on foot.
