Finance Assistant

  • Process supplier invoices
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies ·
  • Prepare and process payment runs
  • Raise and issue sales invoices with correct coding and VAT treatment
  • Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding payments
  • Track and reconcile bank statements
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions
  • Maintain accurate records and filing systems
  • Assist with audits and compliance checks
  • Provide general support to the CEO/COS
  • Prepare financial reports, data summaries and briefing materials for Board meetings

  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with particular emphasis on Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • AAT qualification or equivalent (preferred but not essential)

  • Previous experience in a Finance or Accounting role
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and procedures
  • Experience with invoice processing and account reconciliation

Competitive salary - £18,000
