Business Development Manager
Business Development Manager (Build-to-Rent)
Central Stockport Office (Hybrid)
£35,000 + commission (OTE £55,000)
We are looking for a proven B2B hunter who knows the Build-to-Rent space and can originate, progress and close new operator relationships.
This is not an account management role. It is a revenue-generating role focused on adding new developments to our platform and securing tech-enabled lease-up instructions.
Your Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new BTR operators and developers
- Map upcoming development pipelines across the UK
- Secure meetings with Heads of Leasing / Asset Management
- Deliver PropTech demos (as required)
- Progress opportunities through structured pipeline stages
- Negotiate commercial terms and close agreements
- Hit unit-acquisition and revenue targets
- Maintain disciplined pipeline reporting
Targets / Output Expectations
- Sign 3–5 new developments per quarter
- Add 1,000+ units per quarter to stock pipeline
- Maintain 3x pipeline coverage at all times
- CRM fully updated with accurate (weighted pipeline) forecasting
What We’re Looking For
- 3-5+ years B2B sales experience
- Experience in BTR lettings, PropTech, letting agency or developer sales
- Demonstrable closing track record
- Strong network in UK residential or institutional real estate
- Comfortable being measured purely on output
